Definition: The horse’s eyes are set on the side of its head. This provides almost 360 degree vision. A horse can not see directly behind it when facing forward, or in front of it. To see all around a horse only has to turn its head slightly. To the sides the horse has monocular vision. It’s believed that for a very short distance to the front a horse has binocular vision like we do.
Examples: The horse had a very large friendly eye.

Eyes on the sides of the head help a horse see predators sneaking from all around.
