Stonetrail Holidays in the Eden Valley in Cumbria offers luxury self catering accommodation with great facilities for visitors seeking a walking, mountain bike or horse riding holiday. Open all year and available for weekend, mid week and week long breaks, our three cottages can accommodate up to 16 making us an ideal location for cosy couples, families or groups.
Situated in a fabulous untouristy part of Cumbria midway between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, we are located at the foot of Wild Boar fell and the Howgill fells and within a few minutes walk of the Pennine Bridleway, Englands latest long distance trail.
Still close enough to enjoy the attractions of the Lake District, the quieter location of Stonetrail in the Eden Valley offers a fabulous selection of days out for all ages and our onsite facilities make us a great holiday location for an activity break. Walkers can choose to follow one of our walking routes or you can take to the fells on one of our mountain bikes. We also offer horse riding treks & riding holidays with livery facilities for your own horse. Our extensive knowledge of the local bridleways mean we can provide excellent advice on the best routes. If you are feeling less energetic this is also a great place to sit back and just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Welcome to Stonetrail. We are a unique horse riding centre based in Cumbria offering daily hacking, residential riding holidays, B&B trail riding breaks and horse holidays. We specalise in horse riding breaks along the spectacular Pennine Bridleway which links us to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Riding in small groups on responsive well behaved horses you can be assured of a well organised holiday in what is one of the best riding locations in the UK.
Our center is situated on the edge of the fell with immediate access to miles of bridleways & tracks. We are a great choice for riders seeking stunning scenery, variety of pace and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Our accommodation is first class and a great choice for non riders with plenty of great walking and bike hire. You can choose to spend as much time as you like helping to groom and tack up your horse as we find this always adds to the enjoyment of your holiday and your relationahip with your horse. Whilst we are not a riding school we always offer instruction if required and for less confident riders we can tailor your holiday to help improve your "off road riding skills".

Stonetrail is owned and run by Alison & David Roper, who, inspired by the opening of the Pennine Bridleway, realised an opportunity to create a unique high quality holiday centre aimed at walkers, cyclists and horse and riders.
