Some of them, like the one above, are kept at a horse stable that is run by the municipality of Baghdad inside Zawraa Park, the same vast park that is also home to the Baghdad Zoo. Although some parts of the stable are rather run down, the horses seemed well-fed and were taken care of by a dozen or so employees.
