Being its various capacities, Einsiedler, sometimes called Swiss Anglo-Norman was extremely asked by the cavalry helvète, as well as his/her nearest relative the Anglo-Norman.

Good jumper of international class, excel horse of raising and of walk, trotter except par, it is also appropriate for the light attachment and agricultural work.

The name of this horse comes from the Benedictine abbey of Einsiedeln, in the canton of Schwyz, where one announces already the existence of a stud farm in 1064. Einsiedlers made regular appearances in the Swiss history, in spite of fluctuations in the type. The appearance of Einsiedler was influenced by Hackney blood, but especially by Anglo-Norman.

Its size goes from 1.53 m to 1.62 m, and its dress is of all the frank colors, most common are bay, and alezane.

Light and strong horse of Anglo-Arab type. Good conformation. Powerful shoulders and back-hand. Right and released paces.
