War Horse is a film directed by Steven Spielberg, currently under production. War Horse is intended for release on December 28, 2011. It will be the film version of the play of the same name, which is a stage adaptation of the book War Horse, a children's fiction novel by Michael Morpurgo first published in Great Britain in 1982.
The cast includes David Thewlis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Irvine, Emily Watson,Tom Hiddleston, David Kross, and Stephen Graham. Follows a young man named Albert and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.
