Veterinarians will have the opportunity to learn about the physics and technology of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) in Shelbyville, Kentucky on Saturday, March 3, 2001.
Studies on various aspects of ESWT will be presented, including those of Jack R. Snyder, DVM, PhD, of the University of California, Davis, Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital which included a "Clinical Evaluation of High-Energy Extracorporeal Shock Waves on Equine Orthopedic at UC Davis and Sydney 2000." Other presentations include "High-Energy Shock Waves as a Treatment for Ligament and Orthopedic Injuries at the Woodbine Racetrack," by Dr. Darryl Bonder, DVM, of Toronto Equine Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario
