Member Societies

Member societies may expand, divide or merge. Any new society thus created, would need to apply for membership of the ICS in accordance with its Rules for Membership. Such application must be approved by two thirds of Council.

Council may suspend or terminate, by majority vote, the membership of any Member Society that fails to comply with eligibility requirements, or where its conduct is in conflict with the ICS Constitution.

Notwithstanding clause 2.2 of Schedule 2 Rules for Registration:

where application for membership of the ICS is not approved by Council, or a society’s membership is suspended or terminated by Council, that non-member society’s stock may be included in the ICSB with the approval of the majority of Council.
