An Illinois chiropractor has been warned by the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General not to conduct his animal chiropractic seminars there.

Dr. Daniel Kamen, a chiropractor from Arlington Heights, Ill., said he conducts about 40 animal chiropractic seminars a year around the country, teaching chiropractors, veterinarians, and even pet owners how to manipulate horses, dogs, and cats. Kamen said, “My seminars are very popular. Sometimes I have as many as 120 registrants in one city. Out of that number, about 30 are chiropractors, five are veterinarians, and the rest are horse and dog owners.”

Nevada wasn't the only state to warn Kamen. Oklahoma, California, New York, Texas, Arizona, and Florida, just to name a few, have all alerted Kamen not to conduct his seminars in their states. According to Nevada's Attorney General, Frankie Sue Del Papa, “Dr. Kamen's services perfromed in the course of his seminar would constitute the practice of veterinary medicine because the performing of chiropractic procedures on animals is expressly defined to be part of the practice of veterinary medicine.”
