Puppy Paws Inc says its Memory Horseshoe pendant was created after requests from both individuals and cremation boutiques.
The already sold the company's Puppy Paws and Memory Paw pendants and wanted something to celebrate the memory of horses.
"Creating a Memory Horseshoe pendant was a natural addition to our Memory Jewelry," said Pamela Meltzer, president and jewellery designer for Puppy Paws.
The cremains that go in the pendant are sealed in place with clear resin enamel.
Only one Memory Horseshoe can be created at a time to ensure no cremains are mixed up or misplaced. Any cremains not sealed in the pendant are returned to the owner for safe keeping.
The back of the pendant is flat for engraving which is done at no cost.
They are available in sterling silver or 14k gold.
They retail for $US129.99 in sterling silver and $US329.99 in 14k white or yellow gold.
The retail price includes a simple 18-inch chain but can also be worn on a bracelet, as a pin or even as cufflinks.
Puppy Paws is based in Pittsburgh.
